What’s more fun than watching roller derby? Playing it! The DC Rollergirls will be holding open tryouts Sunday, Feb. 26, from 12:30 p.m. – 3 p.m. at the DCRG Warehouse (5706 Lafayette Pl, Hyattsville MD 20781).
You’ll need to bring:
- quad skates (floor is smooth concrete)
- a helmet (a skateboard or hockey helmet, NOT a bike helmet)
- a mouthguard
- wrist guards
- hard-shell knee and elbow pads
- water & a snack
- a picture ID and proof of insurance (mandatory to take the track)
Select skaters will be invited to formally join the league. For skaters who do not receive an invitation to join the league and would like more time to improve their skating skills, boot camp sessions are held each Sunday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the warehouse.
