Athletic Background

I was a synchronized swimmer in high school, but that was the only sport that I participated in in a formal way. I was a casual runner, and played in intramural leagues. But I hadn’t roller skated since middle school when I got involved in roller derby.

Bio

My name is a play off of my day job as a newspaper reporter. I got interested in roller derby when a new job brought me to a new city, and I was looking to challenge myself and make some new friends. After yet another job change brought me to D.C., I got involved with DCRG. Derby has given me some skills to carry over to my day job, including helping me to quickly navigate through the crowded hallways at a political convention (just like jamming, but without hitting anyone).
